Jesús Hdez-Güero (La Havana, Cuba. 1983) is graduated in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts "San Alejandro" and the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Havana. He studied “Behaviour Art” (Arte de Conducta) with the well known artist Tania Bruguera for two years, participating in parallel in different workshops with stablish artists and prestigius curators, theorists and critics as well. He completed his studies in Professional Photography at EFTI - Madrid International Center for Photography and Cinema. Currently, he works and lives in Madrid, Spain.
His works have been showed in the Karachi Bienniali, Pakistan, "Desde Aquí" Biennial, Colombia; Havana Biennial, Cuba; Liverpool Biennial, United Kingdom; Gwangju Biennial, South Korea, and at Le Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France; Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris, France; ESMoA, California, United States; Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst, Aachen, Germany; Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Roma (MACRO), Italy; Alejandro Otero Museum (MAO), Caracas, Venezuela; Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), Las Palmas de Gran Canarias; Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo (Artium), Vitoria, Spain; National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), Havana, Cuba; among others.
The artist has been recognized with important international awards.
