Eduardo Hoffmann (Mendoza, Argentina, 1957) is one of the great references in the Argentinian contemporary art, who, with a prestigious career of more than 35 years, exceeds the Latin American limits, to position himself worldwide.
Hoffmann studied painting at the Faculty of Art, National University of Cuyo, Argentina, with Zravko Ducmelic, settling latter in Paris, where he collaborated for some years with the artist Julio Le Parc. He also lived and worked in Brazil and Miami, residing since the last years in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Throughout his history as an artist, the constancy of an exuberant production went through various materials, techniques and modes of the image treatment. At times, he seems to be like several artists in one, as he stablishes relationships between continuity and change: painting, drawing, sculpture, installation or video. And within the painting, certain art pieces reference specially chosen, become a tribute and alteration of well-known works in the art history, showing him, again, as an artist not just multiple, but also versatile.
His work, that has been exhibited in the most important museums and in the main art fairs worldwide, as well as auctioned at Sotheby's, is part of the important collections in the world, being continuously required by the most prestigious architecture studios in an international scale.
